Starting from the Bear Lake trailhead, hiking to Dream Lake is an excellent first time sunrise hiking trip. The hike is fairly short and easy plus you will be rewarded with beautiful views of Hallett Peak reflecting in Dream Lake.

To photograph the mountains reflecting in Dream Lake with alpenglow light you will need to arrive at the Bear Lake trailhead about an 30 minutes before sunrise.
